It was a lucky shot to just click this one item and find? Doing it for 63 items or even at times projects with over 200 items is going to be a mammoth task to find with which item the issue lies. I spent half a day to identify the culprit as this one item out of 63 items.
Will I face such issues again? It is alot of effort to pinpoint where the issue lies if I do not know what is causing the problem. What is causing this issue? It is just a text item with only 3 sentences! IMPORTANT: However, WHEN I SELECT A WORD OR PHRASE IN THE ITEM DESCRIPTION AND ENTER THE COMMENTS IN THE ADD HIGHLIGHT POP-UP BOX AND CLICK SUBMIT FEEDBACK. Even able to log comments by clicking on the give feedback icon, give feedback on review icon, go to feedback section and log a comment or reply to an existing comment.ħ. I am able to navigate and view everything fine, click and select items on this review.Ħ. I noticed these 2 items were some which seems to be causing the problem.ĥ. Pinpointing which items are causing this issue is difficult. Issue happens even if the entire project is sent for reviews. Under the Items for Review, select just the one item of type text called "Objective" or "Target Users" or both under, Component "Introduction", give a deadline, select a few reviewers and publish. Select the project where the issue is seen Ĥ. Deleted the review and created a new review, a) from individual item select all 63 items (b) entire project select. Issue is happening with this one Project only.Ĥ. Issue does not exists with any other old reviews that were closed or new reviews I start on other projects. However, I am able to edit, close and add moderators from the "Reviews" table view page for this particular reviewĨ. Then if I navigate to any other tab, like, Feedback or Stats and return back to "Review" tab then the issue repeats again from step 3 onwards.ħ. "stop script" on firefox, atleast allows me to scroll and select text or click on buttons to log my comments. If I select kill on chrome, the page does not load anything and goes to "Aw, Snap Something went wrong while displaying this webpage" or Refershing the page does not help either, it ends up with the issue recurring.Ħ.
It goes into a loop, prompting the warning pop-up again and again until I kill or stop script or close the browser or browser tab. Clicking on chrome "wait" or firefox "continure" in the warning dialogue, does not resolve the issue. After 5-10 secs, I see a warning pop-up "Page Unresponsive" on chrome or "Warning: Unresponsive script" on firefox. Page freezes, unable to perform any action, mouse over anything does not do anything at all, the pointer is not changing to the hand icon, unable to click on anything, even under the Filter and TOC nothing is responsive, seems like the page is dead.Ĥ. The review page loads fine initially for the first few minutes, maybe for 5 minutes of the review all seems OK. It has some images, links and alot of text and tables.Ģ. Created a review from a particular project that has close to 63 items. This could be different in your case if you get this unresponsive script warning, but the ultimate fix to this I recommend is updating to latest version of Firefox which fixes these warnings and bugs.1. So I updated the Firefox 2.0 to latest version of Firefox that is Firefox 3.07, ,after that I have no warning problems in browsing Gmail and couple of Websites I mentioned above. Since this Script warning comes to me when browsing Gmail and couple of websites, I suspected Firefox, since the Firefox version using is outdated and also Firefox stopped the support to Firefox 2.0 (Only one computer in network is using Firefox 2.0 and remaining are updated one’s). The reasons could be due to Add-ons installed in Firefox or the java script in webpage you are accessing or Firefox it self. What could be the reasons that caused Firefox to give this warning ? But neither stopping the script, nor continuing the script does not yielded any favor, I got the same warning again while browsing those sites.
